SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING RESULTS

With hundreds of members attending over 30 meetings across the State, the July 2026 Special General Meeting has now concluded.

I am pleased to report that the Log of Claims has been overwhelmingly supported by members. As outlined at meetings, this Log of Claims is the framework to commence negotiations based on key member priorities identified through our Log of Claims survey. Members will continue to have a say through further SGMs as we progress.

I can also advise that members have voted to refuse the Department’s offer to resolve the Permanent Meal Allowance dispute. As outlined at meetings, we will now formally refuse the offer.

Members will continue to be updated the progress of our underpayment claim which is next due in conciliation before the IRC on 27 July.
