2024 AGM Notice

Notice of 2024 AGM

The first of the 2024 AGMs will be held on 31 October at 1000 hours and the closing meeting will be held on 8 November at 1200 hours.
 
A reminder for all Country and Retained Sub-Branch members to please email written notice of your intention to hold AGMs, together with all details, to office@fbeu.net by no later than 10 October for members to be informed in time. At least seven members will need to be present to reach a quorum. 

Please ensure all AGMs are registered with the FBEU Office by email by the deadline. Emails or texts to Delegates or SCOM members may not reach us in time.

Initial dates, times and locations of meetings will be sent in a Notice of AGMs later this week.

2024 AGM AGENDA

1. Appointment of Returning Officer

That this meeting of member endorses Comrade Rowatt to be the FBEU’s Returning Officer for the next two years.

SCOM Recommendation: Support

2. Appointment of Auditors

That this meeting of members endorses Daley Audit to be the FBEU’s Auditors for the next two years.

SCOM Recommendation: Support

3. Senior Officer Transfers Lists

That this meeting of members agrees to the amendment of Clause 28.3.1.3 of the CROWN EMPLOYEES FIRE AND RESCUE NSW (PERMANENT FIREFIGHTING STAFF) AWARD 2023 from:

28.3.1.3 in the case of Senior Officers, for each of the Regional Transfer Register areas listed at subclause 28.2.2. Provided that there shall not be a Blue Mountains Regional Transfer Register, a Maitland Transfer Register or a Northern Rivers Regional Transfer Register for Senior Officers, and that vacancies which occur within those areas shall be filled in accordance with subclause 28.7.

To now read:

28.3.1.3 in the case of Senior Officers, for each of the Regional Transfer Register areas listed at subclause 28.2.2.

Which will now become the FBEU’s position, and hereby authorises the FBEU State Committee of Management to advocate that for change in the 2024 award negotiations.
