Notice of 2021 Annual General Meeting

The Union’s 111th Annual General Meeting is to be held on Saturday 30th October 2021 at 1300 hours.

This year, due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, State Committee (based on advice from legal counsel) will be holding 2021 AGM’s online, hosted by a qualified independent provider. All financial Union members (Permanent or Retained) will have the opportunity to participate remotely. The Agenda and registration will be available next week.

A 3-step registration process must be completed by each member wishing to participate.  This registration process ensures security and credibility of voting.   Members will be required to:

  1. Confirm or update their current email address with the union office (this will be used to verify financial membership).
  2. Registration for the meeting will need to be completed no later than Friday 22nd October 2021. All members will receive an email in the near future on how to register and reminders will appear in subsequent SitRep’s. (this gives the FBEU time to confirm all registrations are financial members).
  3. Once registered, members will receive a zoom link via email to the registered email address (see item 1 above). An additional SMS verification will also be used to confirm legitimacy of registrants.

As with any new process, there will undoubtedly be teething issues.  If you do require support with your registration please contact your SCOM representative or the FBEU office prior to the registration close date.
