The NSW Electoral Commission is conducting this year’s election of the FBEU State Committee of Management.

Attached to this Sitrep is an Election Notice from the NSW Electoral Commission outlining the procedure for nominations and voting. Also attached is a Nomination Form.

Please display on Friday, 23 February 2024 a copy of this Sitrep and the Election Notice on your notice board for all members in your station/workplace to see. All stations/workplaces should also receive a hard copy in the mail.

Nominations are open on and from 23 February 2024.

The timetable for this year’s elections is as follows:

Close of Rolls	Friday 16 February 2024
Invite Nominations	Friday 23 February 2024
Close Nominations	1700hrs Friday 15 March 2024
Withdraw of Nominations	1200hrs Friday 22 March 2024
Draw for names on Ballot Paper (at NSWEC)	1400hrs Friday 22 March 2024
Post Voting Material	Wednesday 3 April 2024
Close Poll	1700hrs Tuesday 30 April 2024
Count	0900hrs Wednesday 1 May 2024

The roll of voters has closed but members’ addresses will continue to be updated until the posting of ballot papers. If you have changed address but have not yet let the Union know, or simply aren’t sure, please complete a change your address form on our website here or contact the office directly for assistance.
