CODE RED – Metro North Reliever Transfers

Metro North Command has been forcing Firefighters at Leading ranks into Relieving positions in breach of their own Mobility policy and SitRep 3/2015.

Despite efforts to ensure compliance, members continue to be transferred against the policy, and without consultation with the FBEU.

All members in Metro North are therefore instructed that transfers into relieving positions are banned, and any member already transferred is to return to the position and location held immediately prior to the transfer occurring, at the start of the next shift which was to be worked at that previous position and location.

If you believe this instruction applies to you, contact your Sub-Branch Secretary for confirmation.

This instruction remains in place until further notice from the State Secretary.
