SINGLE DAY LSL – UPDATE

Following our urgent dispute notification to the IRC on Friday afternoon, the Department has now formally confirmed that SAM will be reverted to its pre-18 November configuration tomorrow morning. This means that members will be able to apply for single day long service leave in the system as per previous arrangements.

The Department has advised that they will engage in consultation on this matter, which the FBEU insists will be in accordance with the Award. We will advise members as consultation progresses.

If members have any questions or any issues with applying for single day LSL, please call the office or submit an industrial inquiry online.

RETAINED BACKPAY AND LEAVE

For some time now, the FBEU has been working towards an audit into how the Department manages backpay for wage increases, and leave taken, which was calculated based on the wages that have been increased with backpay.

 This process is ongoing, and once the FBEU has resolved the issue, members will be advised.
