CODE RED – Relieving SOs being assigned to Zone Offices

Since the previous Code Red was issued, the department has elected to try to fill the Relieving Station Officer position at MW3 and assigning them to the Katoomba Zone Office. As you may have seen, the department has now advertised the position in the latest Commissioner’s Orders. The department has resorted to this because all of the members on the residential transfer list and the general transfer list have not accepted the position while it is attached to the Zone Office, compliant with the Code Red. The FBEU has continued to attempt to work with the department to resolve the issue, but there has been no movement at all on the department’s side.

This being the case, it is reiterated that the previous Code Red remains in place and no Station Officer is to accept or request any transfer to a relieving position that is assigned to a Zone Office in MW3.

This Code Red remains in place until lifted by the State Secretary.
