NOTICE – Special General Meeting – July 2026

June 28, 2026

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETINGS – JULY 2026

As outlined in SitRep 19/2026 and SitRep 21/2026, from 13 July we will be holding SGMs across the State for members to endorse the Log of Claims for the upcoming 2027 Award negotiations.

These Log of Claims were built on direct member feedback and have been endorsed by State Committee and presented to Delegates through delegate meetings held over the last few weeks.

I hope you all have had a chance to review the claims, which can be found here, and talk to your Delegate about them ahead of the SGMs.

As always, questions about the Log of Claims can also come through your SCOM rep and/or to the FBEU Office directly.

These SGMs also present the opportunity for members to vote on the Permanent Meal Allowances offer.

The Agenda for the meetings is below:

Item 1:

That this Special General Meeting of members endorse the Draft Permanent, Retained and D&D Log of Claims as published on the FBEU website on 29 May 2026, and seek that the Union present the Log of Claims to the Department as the position of the FBEU membership for the 2027 Award negotiations.

State Committee of Management Recommendation: SUPPORT

Item 2:

That this Special General Meeting of members consider whether to bind the Union to accept or refuse the Permanent Meal Allowances on Overtime offer as made by the Department and published on the FBEU website on 26 June 2026.

State Committee of Management Recommendation: CONSIDER
