2026 AGM – UPDATE

 The Union’s AGM will be held from 1000hrs on 31 October until 1000hrs on 9 November.

The deadline for registering a Retained or Country meeting has been extended. Email written notice of your intention to hold AGMs, together with the date, time, and location of the meeting, to office@fbeu.net by no later than Friday 16 October, to allow members to be informed in time. At least seven members will need to be present to reach a quorum. Please ensure all AGMs are registered with the FBEU Office by email by the deadline. Emails or texts to Delegates or SCOM members may not reach us in time.

All other meetings must be held after 31 October 2026 at 1200hrs and conclude before 9 November 2026 at 0800hrs.

A reminder that SGMs to consider and vote on Award bargaining related matters are very likely to occur concurrently with the AGMs.

2027 AWARD NEGOTIATIONS – UPDATE

As outlined in SitRep 33/2026, we have been busy meeting with the Department almost every day for Award negotiations, progressing discussions and working to try and find common ground.

The joint Retained Reform Update and Workshop occurred last night, with around 40 invited attendees hearing from the Department and the FBEU about options for reform. The proposal was received well, with many details to be ironed out in the coming weeks.

We will continue to keep members updated as we progress.
