Status of Draft Awards

As was referred to in yesterday’s notice, the Union is unable to provide members with draft agreed awards as yet. Our prediction of yesterday that the draft 2005 awards should have been finalised today (and posted on the Union’s website) turned out to be overly optimistic.

True to form, the wheels of the Department and the Public Employment Office are turning very slowly indeed. Nonetheless the process remains on track. Every change required to give effect to the in principle agreement seemingly requires an endless round of approvals and associated paperwork between the various ‘arms’ of the employer.

The Union will post the draft awards on the website as soon as they are available.
