D&D Dispute Update – The Gap Narrows?

Two important meetings took place this week, the first to agree upon the latest series of costings prepared by the independent actuary and the second, which was held yesterday, to work through those agreed figures. From our perspective it now appears that the real gap between what they’ve been offering and what we’ve been seeking – namely comprehensive 24 hour cover – is actually much, much closer than what anyone first thought.

Of course the cheaper our claim becomes the easier it will (or at least should) be for them to agree to settle on our terms. Having said that, they’d probably still find a way to say no even if it was going to cost them nothing! We’re now expecting some concrete answers from them at the next meeting scheduled for next Friday, 23 March. Stay tuned ….
