FIRIES ON THE CAVALCADE TO CANBERRA

August 5, 1995

On Monday 19 August, Firefighters from NSW, Victoria and the ACT, together with thousands of other workers will converge on Parliament House Canberra to demonstrate to the Howard Government that their unAustralian Industrial Relations Act is unacceptable.

It’s not too late to change it!

The Union has organised buses to Canberra that leave Sydney at the following times and locations.

DEPARTURE: SYDNEY  Monday 19 August, 1996.

6.30am  Stn. 36. Crows Nest  (Cnr. Shirley & Sinclair Rds. CROWS NEST).

7.00am  Union Office, City  (267 Sussex St, SYDNEY).

7.45am  Stn. 20. Hurstville  (5 – 9 Butler Rd. HURSTVILLE).

It’s IMPERATIVE that NSW Firies mobilise to defend Award conditions and the Industrial Relations system.
