Award Dispute

The Award dispute returned to the NSW IRC Thursday 5 March 2020 and was before Chief Commissioner Constant at 11 am, where we provided an update on our progress. Given that SGM’s are taking place  we have agreed to have a further report back which is scheduled for the 2 April 2020. We can bring the matter back before the Commission anytime sooner if necessary.

Northern Rivers

The Union office has received several inquiries requesting an update on the ongoing Northern Rivers dispute. The dispute is about how intrastate deployments are paid under the Award. As members will be aware, FRNSW appealed the Union’s victory to the Supreme Court. The matter was first heard on Friday 7 February 2020. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court is still considering the matter and we have not been informed as of when we can be expecting a decision.

As soon as we have any news, we will be informed the membership ASAP.

Reminder and extension – Bushfire Crisis Survey
