LIFTING OF CODE REDS

Members will be aware that we are continuing our Arbitration before the NSW Industrial Court. Evidence has been submitted, and we are working hard to make the case for our endorsed log of claims to be agreed to by the Court.

From 0800 on 2 November 2024, the following Code Reds are hereby lifted:

Code Red – Award Expiry Industrial Campaign from 25 February 2024

Code Red – Award Expiry Industrial Campaign Continued from 5 April 2024

REINSTATEMENT OF CHALKING CODE RED

There has been no obvious action from the NSW Government to improve the state of our fleet, so the Code Red requiring members to draw attention to unreasonably old appliances is reinstated.

Effective immediately, members are hereby instructed to use washable chalk and/or other removable materials such as banners, posters, flags etc on all appliances 20 years old or older, in order to draw attention to the age and unreliability of these appliances.

No chalk or other substance is to be used on any painted surface.

This Code Red remains in place until lifted by the State Secretary.

In Unity,

Leighton Drury
State Secretary
