PERMANENT MEAL ALLOWANCES ON OVERTIME – UPDATE

As foreshadowed in SitRep 10/2026, with the Department and the Government failing to respond to our letters seeking payment of meal allowances while on overtime for Permanent members, we have now formally filed the matter with the Industrial Court on behalf of all members, seeking an audit of members’ entitlements, back payment, and payment going forward.

We are now waiting on a listing before the Court to determine the path forward for the dispute, and we will keep members updated on its progress.
