New Easter Show rates

Negotiations have resulted in agreement being reached between the Union and Department for the insertion of two new sub-clauses into the Retained Award (6.6.1.3a and 6.8a) to cover members working at Sydney’s annual Royal Easter Show, including significant increases in the rates of pay. Captains (or the senior member acting in the absence of a Captain) who successfully applied to attend this year’s Easter Show will now be paid $43.28 per hour, while Deputy Captains and Retained Firefighters will now receive $37.49 per hour.

Application has been made to the IRC to vary the Award. In the interim, copies of the new subclauses 6.6.1.3a and 6.8a can be emailed or faxed to members on request.
