Notice of Special General Meetings

Special General Meetings to vote on new Awards

Following the announcement of reaching in principle agreement with FRNSW on new Awards for Permanent and Retained firefighters and the D&D Award (and the release of those documents this week) we will be holding SGMs commencing next week for all members to vote on the new Awards.

The schedule for the SGMs (outside of retained and country sub-branch meetings) are as follows:

A reminder for all Country and Retained Sub-Branch members to please send written notice of your intention to hold SGMs, together with all details, to the Union office to office@fbeu.net by no later than 2 p.m. Friday 25^th August 2023 so we can inform members of SGM details. At least seven members will need to be present to reach a quorum. 

Final dates, times and locations of all meetings will be sent in a final Notice of SGMs tomorrow. 

A reminder that we also continue to hold Delegate Zoom sessions this week for members to log in and find out about the new Awards prior to the SGMS. For details of the zoom sessions that are left, please refer to Sitrep 43.

In the meantime, if members are unable to get to a zoom and have questions regarding the new Awards you wish to raise ahead of the SGMs please send your questions through to office@fbeu.net
