State Fire Command Centre Further Bans

July 31, 1996

As a result of the Department’s continued lack of timely action in dealing with the high level of line faults being generated by the Communication Centre’s computer, all members are instructed that effective 1800 hours on 31 July 1996, personnel at State Fire Command – Alexandria are to report all line faults to appropriate NSWFB personnel by way of pager as they are received at the Centre.  The appropriate personnel are:  DPOP (Brett Hume), Director – Operational Support (Roger Doyle) and Manager – Communications (John Shenstone).

Furthermore, personnel at State Fire Command – Alexandria are to fax all line faults received at the Centre to the The Commissioner.

This ban is part of an ongoing and cumulative series of bans that will be imposed in the absence of any definitive action by the Department.  This ban is to remain in force until further notice.

Any enquiries relating to this ban should be referred to the Union Office.
