State Fire Command Centre Ban on Paging

As a result of the Department’s lack of timely action in dealing with the high level of line faults being generated by the Communication Centre’s computer, all members are instructed that effective 1800 hours on 30 July 1996, no NSWFB personnel are to be paged by State Fire Command – Alexandria except in a fire related situation.

This ban will be the first of an ongoing and cumulative series of bans that will be imposed in the absence of any definitive action by the Department.
